Mimic Skateboard Manufacturing

The Process of Skateboard Manufacturing:

First we call up our mill in Canada and order up a batch of thin maple plys.
A week later that batch of maple ply wood arrives at our door.
This plys are cut into rectangular sections that are a little bigger that the area of a skateboard deck.
Then the plys are slipped through the glue machine.
Generally 7 plys of this glue covered plys are slapped together and placed in our skateboard mold.
Pressure is applied to the mold by a hydraulic press.
After some time the press is unloaded and the newly formed ply stack up is taken out of the press.
Next, the formed ply stacks are cut into skateboard shapes.
Finally the skateboard shapes are sanded down to provide a smooth feel and rounded edges.
